Weddingways is currently owned by Kim and Phil Karn (and Rex). The business has it roots with Phil’s parents whose dream came true in the late 80s. Helen Karn, Phil’s mother, created wedding invitations, artificial flowers and wedding favour’s back in 1988. Phil’s father, Howard Karn, wanted to use the barn for square dancing.
Phil wanted to keep his parents dream alive by transforming the barn and property to a beautiful wedding venue. He has spent countless hours working to restore the barn including making all the tables by hand. The first wedding was held in 2015.
The property dates back to Queen Elizabeth the first and has been in the family for seven generations. Phil still has the crown deed.

Jeremy was raised small-town Ontario, where his father instilled in him a deep appreciation for nature on the family farm and through his time in Scouts. His adventurous spirit took him on a solo motorcycle journey across Canada, solidifying his love of outdoor pursuits.
As a kid, Laura enjoyed climbing trees and building tree forts. As she grew up, she found her sense of adventure through travelling and exploring new places. She lived in France for a time and explored 9 different European countries solo.
Together, Laura and Jeremy are constantly seeking new adventures, whether it’s driving around Iceland in a minivan, journeying across the Arctic Circle, Key West for New Years Eve or hopping on a train to visit the Polar Bear Capital of Canada.
